Spider-man returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Naa naa naa naa naa naa naa n... Wait... that's batman. Everyone's favourite web head returns to the MCU!

Tom Hollands' Spider-Man will return to the MCU. Sony and Disney have come to an agreement which will see the web-slinger return to the MCU for a third movie (and hopefully many more!)

Marvels' movie guru Kevin Feige is on board for the third film. He stated "I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it. Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe."

According to Feige, Spider-Man may also be seen in other universes and may cross other in Sony's cinematic Universe. He hinted at this by stating: "He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.” I feel this would be easy to implement as Spider-Man has already crossed over to other universes in some of his stories.

Whatever the future holds; I am ecstatic that Sony and Marvel have come to an agreement, as an avid Marvel and Spider-Man fan, I felt like the character was finally being done justice when he was first unveiled in the MCU and was worried Sony would (again) fumble with creating a good and true Spider-Man film.

And finally, the third film in the series will be part of Phase 4 and will release on July 16, 2021

This is cause for a celebration!
